Kia Ora, Dear Kata
My "texted" message is finished (for now at least). I didn´t get yet the e-mail address of Walesi, but I can wait.
If my computer is pleased, maybe I can join your group in the website. Sometimes is difficult for me doing things in the computer... The e-mail is easy for me to use, so, we keep in touch.
I think we are "old" friends, so maybe we have things to do together, haha.
A rainbow hug for you

Hi Ramsiel, this was a mistaken edit by the www.spiritofmaat.com editor. I wrote a long biography and the editor made it shorter for the article. It was supposed to read "John's favorite website is www.lemurianawakening.com and he can be found at www.worldviewzmedia.net/profile/John Nakagawa. The webmaster is on vacation now and will correct it in a couple of weeks. Sorry for the confusion :)

A Magical Mystery Tour — A Trip to the Hopi Mesas

By John Nakagawa

On a "free afternoon" during the Return of the Ancestors we decided to visit the Hopi Mesas just as individual tourists. It was Saturday April 25 and the Return of the Ancestors' gathering at the Hopi Mesas that day was cancelled. I was aware of the political issues. I heard a woman from our bus say she had gotten a personal invitation from a Hopi at the Grand Canyon sunrise ceremony, and that the Hopi said that her group was invited to visit. Also, I had traveled to the Hopi Mesas several years before as an individual tourist. So I figured it would be fine for us to visit. I discussed this with my traveling companions and we all agreed.
Aaron and I were actually stranded in the hotel parking lot that day. Aaron was trying to fly to New York to get back to his college finals. I was supposed to drive him from Sedona to Phoenix. We couldn't find a bus from Tuba City to Sedona so we figured he'd just fly back the next day. The majority of our tour group had already gone to the Navajo lands. So there we were stranded, wandering around a parking lot in Tuba City with nothing to do (ha-ha forgive the drama). But, as "luck" would have it, Aaron met two beautiful women who had driven from Santa Cruz in the parking lot. They offered to give us a ride! We first went to Navajo lands. Everything was over when we got there. So after some discussion, the four of us set off to visit the Hopi Mesas.
I had fun watching Casey drive us in her "stick shift" car to the Hopi Mesas while Moira read to us from her Mayan book. It was also fun watching the two women working together by discussing each of their intuitions, and then using their combined intuitions to make decisions and navigate. I helped navigate from the back seat with my computer and Google maps. We had a lot of food and drink in the car as well as wonderful conversation. It was the Mayan day of "K'at". I felt like we had freed ourselves of obstacles and problems and had brought in good things.
The first place we visited was the 2nd Mesa's visitor's center. We walked in and were told "we're debuting a brand new visitor's center video in 5 min would you like to watch it?" We all noted the synchronicity and I felt like we were on the right track and being welcomed. Many Hopi watched the video and afterwards we had some refreshments. I had a great cucumber and onion salad. Then we talked with the tour guide about what to visit at the Hopi Mesas. She showed us how to get to the top of the 2nd Mesa and warned us that it was very windy. It was very windy! We got to the top where there was a big flat rock. The view was incredible. We sat down, held hands and had a little meditation ceremony to help make things better. We did the "Living in the Heart" meditation from Drunvalo's book and the girls lead us through one of their meditations.
Then we drove around the 3rd Hopi Mesa for a bit when our car was stopped by a couple of barking dogs who would not let us pass. To make a long story short, as the dogs were barking a woman came up to us and asked if we would help her dig out her car which was stuck in the sand; we said OK and parked our car. The woman led us to a shed. The next thing I knew Grandfather Martin was handing us shovels. At 86 years of age, Grandfather Martin actively participated in digging and pushing the car. I was concerned for his health and I tried to get him to sit on the side and let us dig and push. But he wouldn't have it! He got right under the car and dug and pushed.;"Push! Push!" he'd say.
It was suggested that I drive the stuck car (haha as I come from the people who are the keepers of water). After reading Drunvalo's book "The Serpent of Light" I believe it is time for Women to take the lead. So I suggested that Casey drive. Casey was "driving divinely in tune" and drove us exactly to the right place at the right time. A minute earlier or later, and we would have missed the woman with the stuck car.
Our first try failed. I remembered seeing two wooden planks of perfect length and width leaning against a house. Earlier my intuition told me to take them but I didn't listen. I went back to get them. I learned to listen to my intuition and that it takes intelligence and a strong body. After 45 minutes, amidst cold late afternoon winds blowing sand everywhere, we "Push! Pushed!" the car out.
Next we were invited into Grandfather Martin's house. I didn't know who he was until the woman told us that he is the keeper of the Hopi prophecies. Wow! Then I felt like we were imposing. Throughout the rest of the trip I learned more about him. The next day Drunvalo took our group for a hike and said something to the effect "Grandfather Martin is one of most important Hopi Elders". My jaw dropped. I raised my hand and sheepishly said "we slept at Grandfather Martin's house last night".
After returning home I watched an internet video which read; "The Mayan and Hopi Elders Don Alejandro and Grandfather Martin Hug at the "Return of the Ancestors" gathering, fulfilling a 500 year old Prophecy the Eagle and Condor are coming together". I kept thinking to myself, we were stranded in a parking lot and then all this great adventure!
Grandfather Martin couldn't hear so well, so we wrote words down on a piece of paper and he would answer us. We asked if he wanted company for dinner. He said "nobody visits me". It felt lonely. He told us to go get food and bring it back for dinner. We told him we had a lot of food in the car. We got the food and it felt really nice preparing the dinner together. It looked so beautiful on the table I didn't want to eat it.
While we were preparing dinner Grandfather Martin went to get something. He came back with Sprite soda and cookies! He put the cans down and said "pop". Instead of sacred corn or something, pop and cookies! It was a heartfelt gesture, Grandfather wanted us to have something fun to eat and drink. I drank the soda and ate a cookie; then for a moment time stopped. I felt like a kid again. A kid loved by his grandfather. All my problems disappeared and everything seemed so simple.
After dinner we asked him to tell us a story. He stuttered while telling us the stories. He pointed behind himself and mentioned that there are energies that bother him. I felt a sense of appreciation and sadness. I gave him my "Spurling harmonizer" in hopes it would help. He showed us the book "Cycles" by Alta Reynolds. He showed us colorful Mayan drawings and two little stone tablets with "high tech" etchings. While describing the drawings he pointed to one figure and said, "Christopher Columbus". He pointed to other symbols and said if we were "bad", China and Russia could go to war. He told us to, "Check out the Four Corners". And to look around for a large clearing and when we see it, we'd know it. My roommate Sylvain visited the Four Corners after our tour and I look forward to reading of his adventures!
Earlier that day we were told at the visitor's center not to take pictures. After listening to his stories for an hour or so, I knew I couldn't remember everything. This is important stuff so I said to myself "I gotta document this". I got my courage up and respectfully asked him if I could take pictures. He laughed and asked "you have a camera?" Jokingly I answered "yes". He answered "take pictures". When the stories were over he told us to "go tell everybody".
At the end of the evening we slept on his floor and couch. I walked outside into the cool night, looked up and saw more stars than I had ever seen. The next morning a friend of his neighbor came by and took these pictures of us. We cleaned up and he laughed as I swept the floor. He told us to come back and visit anytime. I learned the importance of "visiting" each other. As we drove off it felt like Thanksgiving in May.
The members of my tour group were from around the world. It was fun listening to the international chatter on our big white bus. I learned to say thank you in Polish "Dziekuje" and how to say hello in Dutch, "hallo". I really got the "feel" of Hola. At breakfast the Spanish speakers would greet everyone with such an enthusiastic "Hola!" I felt so warmly greeted, so I started saying "Hola!" in return. It's amazing how diverse and similar we are. I was impressed with all the work my fellow tour members are doing in their respective countries. Living in the heart is a common goal. I was born and raised in Hawaii and feel very close to Lemuria. A Hungarian woman's business card read Lemurianawakening.com and "Let Your Heart Navigate You". I was blown away.
Towards the middle of the gathering I got a little discouraged. By the end, hope had returned. For me, the Return of the Ancestors was the international spiritual exchange of the Elders, the good times our group had together, a big white bus and, the simple wonder of pop and cookies.
