Hello Helen,
Thanks for the comment. I took those pictures in my house, Villa de Leyva, Colombia. There was two rings around the sun, but the bigger was not complete. And the day was march 15, this year, around 10 am. I don't know what the four circles are, I saw it in the picture but not in the sky, the only difference to the naked eye was that I can see it complete and it was beautiful. A few hours later the sky covered with clouds and then rained a lot.

Comment by Helen M. Downs just now Delete Comment Hello Francisco, these photos caught my eye! Please tell us more about them? (when/where/what/who/how etc). Did you take these pics? Was the view similar to the naked eye? Any comments about the photo with the 4 red circles? As to the large 'rainbow ring' we saw a similar sort of effect a few years ago around a full moon and there was a ring (like this rainbow one) surrounded by a fine 'sheet' of cloud, but no cloud inside the ring, around the moon.

Anyway, would love to hear more from you about you and your photos.
